Vermeer is a fictional art school (for now, at least) that takes deep inspiration in the footsteps of giants such as Bauhaus and Ulm. It has a structure similar as that of the guilds, but with contemporary pedagogic and methodological updates.
The client hires the school for a job. The students and/or professors are financially compensated for work done in the name of the institution, which also provides them a steady stream of jobs to choose from. During five years, they would study and have workshops in many different fields of visual arts and design to truly develop a multidisciplinar way of conceiving reality itself. The need arises to not overload the students with overly long work/study hours, so the idea is to split 4h/4h each per day. They also would be able to choose, within specific criteria, the jobs that they want to take in. It would mainly depend on the level of mastery they have over their skills, experience and area of focus. Of course, there are rules regarding the eminent possibility of two students wanting the same job, and similar scenarios. It would be of the worker's choice to use school's equipment or his/her own to do the job, as Vermeer would have a complete ecosystem at their dispposal.
